* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Sabine River at Longview.

* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Lowland flooding will continue for several
days. Oil field operations will be curtailed and timber resources
will suffer severe flooding. Fisherman should use caution as
currents are swift.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 27.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 28.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Sunday morning and continue falling to 24.2 feet Monday
morning.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
27.5 feet on 03/31/1987.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Sabine River near Beckville.

* WHEN...Until Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Expect lowland flooding of the heavily
wooded floodplain. In addition, oil field operations in and near
the floodplain will be affected and steps should be taken to
secure petroleum equipment.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 26.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM CDT Wednesday was 27.3 feet.
